Falcone Group Celebrates Greenleaf Park Groundbreaking with Oakland Park Community Members and Leaders

Dozens of city officials, community leaders and partners gathered on March 24, 2026, to mark a major milestone in Oakland Park: the groundbreaking of Greenleaf Park. This new community space is part of the Horizon of Oakland Park project, a mixed-use development that will bring 311 apartments and 20,000 square feet of commercial retail space to downtown Oakland Park.
The park is being built at no cost to the city through a partnership between the City of Oakland Park and Horizon Oakland Park LLC, a joint venture of Falcone Group and Kaufman Lynn Construction.
Falcone Group’s Chief Operating Officer Alfonso Costa Jr. shared, “We are deeply appreciative of the thoughtful vision set forth by the city and its residents throughout this entire process the past several years, and our entire development team is ready to deliver on Greenleaf Park as an incredible community-centered destination that will truly be a highlight of the overall Horizon mixed-use development.”
Located at 1300 Park Lane East, with an anticipated opening date in summer 2026, Greenleaf Park will offer space to play, gather, and enjoy the outdoors. Planned amenities include basketball and tennis courts, two pickleball courts, covered playground, and open-air pavilion.
In addition to Greenleaf Park, The Horizon of Oakland Park will feature 195 public parking spaces, a pedestrian-friendly Woonerf area (activated with pergolas, fully paved streets, picnic areas, benches, and food-truck sized parking spaces), and a dog park.
